Materials & Handmade Process

Strung from 108 genuine Moon and Star Bodhi seed beads, each measuring approximately 5×7mm, hand-selected for their natural speckled pattern — small dark markings scattered across a pale surface, said to resemble stars circling the moon. The mala is finished with Dzi bead and red agate accents, hand-knotted on a flexible stretch cord in the traditional Himalayan style.

Meaning & Significance

Bodhi seed beads take their name from the Bodhi tree, beneath which the Buddha is said to have found enlightenment — carrying them is a quiet reminder of the path toward awareness. The moon and star markings are traditionally read as a symbol of the universe's harmony, connecting the wearer to something larger than themselves. The Dzi bead adds a layer of ancient protection, while red agate is believed to bring vitality and grounding energy. Over time, the beads darken and take on a warm patina with wear — a mala that changes together with the one who carries it.
